The Story
The Ae 4/4 series is a powerful tachograph bogie locomotive of the Bern Lötschberg Simplon Bahn (BLS). It was procured in the years 1944/1945 in eight copies as a result of the steadily growing freight traffic on the Lötschberg route. The specifications included a trailer load of 400 t for 27. Increase at a speed of 75 km / h. The four Ae 4/4 253 to 256 were later rebuilt into the two Ae 8/8 274 and 275.
