120AT002 Austin Low Loader Taxi Oxford Blue

Austin has been synonymous with taxis since the end of the 1920s when dealers Mann and Overton sponsored a new Austin cab for London.  The new model LL or Low Loader first appeared in 1934 and became an instant success, due mainly to its very attractive price and reliability. Taxi fleets often had their own paint scheme, so it appeared in several colours.

You have seen this colour scheme before too in Oxford’s larger scale, but we are pleased to bring it back in this rich blue version incorporating the high level of detail, even down to the four colour interior – from dashboard to seating.  It is registered FLH 626.
