Prototype information:

43 PCA (PC020A) powder tanks were built by Powell Duffryn in 1988 for alumina traffic between North Blyth and Fort William on the West Highland line. They PCAs continue to be inuse today.

There are 5 livery/branding versions available:

  • Original Alcan (1988-mid-2000s)
  • Debranded/faded Alcan (mid 2000s onwards)
  • RioTintoAlcan (2008-2016)
  • Lochaber Power/Liberty (2016-)
  • Alvance (2020-)

Model features:

  • Highly accurate N gauge model, 1:148 scale
  • 9 different packs of 4 available (all packs have 4 unique numbers)
  • NEM coupling pockets
  • RP25 wheel sets
  • optional ladders (fitted for appropriate versions - Alcan and debranded Alcan liverieshave ladders fitted)
  • Optional discharge chute plate
  • High levels of detailing with numerous separately fitted plastic and photo-etched parts
  • Minimum Radius 2nd Radius
